The Capital City Republicans (CCRs) will not hold a monthly Trunk & Tusk luncheon for the month of May 2012 and wish every one a happy and safe Memorial Day. We have invited a distinguished speaker to address us on Monday the 11th of June, and in July hope to have a representative of the Alaska Redistricting Board update us on the statewide legislative redistricting process. More detailed information about these luncheons will be available soon. Trunk & Tusk luncheons are held in the Gold Room at Juneau's Baranof Hotel, with a buffet lunch available for $20 ~ R.S.V.P. to

The Capital City Republicans (CCRs) will celebrate the second annual Ted Stevens Day in honor one of the greatest Alaskans of all time on Saturday the 28th of July 2012. The fourth Saturday of July was legally designated by Governor Sean Parnell and the Alaska Legislature last year as Ted Stevens Day. Governor Parnell's Juneau picnic will be the evening before at Sandy Beach, and on Saturday the 28th we'll gather from 11 am until 1 pm in the farther picnic shelter at Douglas's Savikko Park for Brunch on the Beach. More details will be forthcoming soon about preparations for this celebration of the memory of the late U.S. Senator Ted Stevens and the countless good things he did for the Great Land. Celebrations will also be held in Anchorage, Fairbanks, Kenai, the Mat-Su Valley, Nome, and Skagway.
